Coming from a photographer this may come off as strange, but I think we’re taking too many photos. Have been thinking a lot about this article lately, and it’s absolutely true - some of us can lose a life moment in trying to capture it with a camera (or video). Why film a concert if you’re missing it in person, only to know that you’ll never see that footage again? Of course this begs the question: why do we take photos at all? Although I still shoot like crazy, I tend to not bring the camera or take out my phone during social gatherings anymore. Maybe I’ll miss a shot, but I’m okay with that. I think.
